Through photography, print-making, painting, ceramics, mixed media and installations, the artists chosen address a variety of concerns, including the mysterious population decline of honey bees and monarch butterflies, the introduction of aggressive species that have no natural enemies to the detriment of native plants, the effects on the land of clear cutting and other deforestation practices, and the accumulation of thrown-away plastic articles in ocean currents, much of which ends up in the bodies of fish. | ||
