The Art League needs your help! By donating to any or both programs below, granting agencies will supply the matching dollars to the following programs:
"NEA Match the Grant" Campaign
Art League faculty members instruct seniors at St. Johnland Nursing Center in Kings Park in many different art forms; which many studies have shown that exposure to art making results in improved dexterity and cognitive function of the participating adults. The National Endowment of the Arts' Arts Education in American Communities program has provided money to fund half the program costs and requires the remainder of the funding to be matched in order for the program to go forward.
"Barker Welfare Fund Match the Grant" Campaign
The Barker Welfare Foundation has generously awarded matching funds to equip the computer graphics studio with the latest cutting edge equipment and software necessary to teach kids, teens, and adults the newest technology. We need your help to fund the remainder of the costs to make this a reality.
